Rod in coils – The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission delayed the issuance of a preliminary affirmative determination
On 7 August 2017, The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission announced that they had not made a preliminary affirmative determination of anti-dumping investigation for rod in coils imported from Vietnam due to insufficient grounds to conclude:
(i) The goods imported into Australia have been dumped; and
(ii) Dumped goods are causing material injury to the Australian industry.
The Anti-dumping Commission reconsiders whether to make a preliminary affirmative determination at least once prior to the publication of the Statement of Essential Facts. The Statement of Essential Facts is due to be published on 25 September 2017.
Before that, on 7 June 2017, The Australian Anti-dumping Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation for rod in coils imported from Vietnam.
